I made a room-only reservation a few months back----with the intention of changing it to a package (tickets/flight) once we were certain of the dates. Disney FAQs suggests I book a new package & cancel the room only. Will I lose my ADRs in doing this?

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

The information you have is correct: you’ll have to cancel your room-only reservation if you want to replace with a new Magic Your Way Vacation Package reservation, even if you’re planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort during the same days and stay in the same Resort.

That being said, my understanding is that any dining reservations that you may make for your upcoming visit will remain active in your My Disney Experience, even if you cancel and replace your first Walt Disney World Resort reservation. That’s been my experience too when I’ve replaced one room-only reservation with another one.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
