I made a room only reservation for two nights at Port Orleans and already did online check in. I would like to use a Disney gift card to pay for the second night and meals, etc. instead of the credit card I have on file. How do I do that?

    Dear Debbie,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about Disney Gift Cards

I frequently use only gift cards to pay for our Walt Disney World Resort vacations as well, so I understand that you want to plan ahead with them.

I usually stop by the concierge desk at my resort hotel on the first day there and just ask what their policy is about when the charges will post on the credit card on file. Different levels of hotel have different authorization limits on the cards, so it's a good idea to check directly with them. Then, I typically go back to the concierge the night before we are scheduled to leave and settle up my account with my gift cards. If for some reason a charge does slip through onto your credit card, they can refund it to the card and use your gift cards as another form of payment.

Moms Panel tip - Be sure that your gift cards are not the ones that are only valid at the Disney Store! There are two types out there and I want to make sure that you have the right ones.

    Hope that helps!
