I made restaurant res. for 7 w/ DP. How do they take off our meals if our group has 2 diff. reservations at POP. family of 3 and family of 4. Do they just subtract it from both parties or just one? Plus do all restaurants require us to tip on the DP.

Hello Natalie, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

During your meal, your sever will ask you if you are using the Disney Dining Plan.  You can tell him/her that yes you all are but you will need two separate checks.  This is something that happens frequently so your server is used to it and there shouldn't be a problem.  Tipping is not included with the Disney Dining Plan, it's something that needs to be paid for out of pocket.  Tipping isn't a requirement per say, but dining at sit down restaurants at Walt Disney World is no different than dining at them in your home town. The receipt for you meal will show tipping amounts for different percentages which makes it really easy to leave the appropriate amount.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please do come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
