I made reservations for YC. I wanted to upgrade to lagoon/pool view, but the pool view is not of Stormalong, just a quiet pool, and there is no guarantee I'd get a lagoon view, so I did not do it. Is there any way to book a lagoon view for a std room for 4

    Hi Susan,

Disney's Yacht Club Resort is such a beautiful resort.  My family and I love the theme there, and Stormalong Bay is so much fun!

The rooms at Disney's Yacht Club Resort are booked based on view.  The standard rooms have views of a courtyard, rooftop, or parking area.  As far as I know, there are no standard rooms which offer views of the lagoon.  In order to get a lagoon view, you are correct in that you would need to book the category called "lagoon or pool view," which would offer a view of either Crescent Lake or a quiet pool.  If you booked that category of room, you could put in a request that your view be of a Crescent Lake; however, this would be only a request and not a guarantee.  Disney does do their best to accommodate all requests; however, they may not be able to do so at all times.  If you want to make this request, I suggest doing so at the time of booking.  Then call Disney's Yacht Club directly at (407) 934-7000 within a week before your check-in to be sure that they have the request.

Whichever category of room you choose at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, I'm sure it will be a lovely room, Susan.  I hope that this information was helpful for you, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
