    I've made reservations at Ft Wilderness for June 2017. When can I select our site?

    Hi Carolyn! Fort Wilderness is my home away from home on so many visits. We even spend a couple of months there every fall. We love the ambience and peacefulness that is there and enjoy spotting the deer and turkey during our many walks.

    The Fort Wilderness Campsites are grouped into many loops. There are premium loops, dog loops, and regular loops. The premium come with full concrete long pads which are designed for the longer motor coaches while the regular loops will have concrete as well as sand pads. These are also further from the amenities but they cost less per night so that appeals to many who wish to stay for a longer time. The preferred loops are the oldest loops and somewhat smaller pads but they are also closer to the marina and Pioneer Hall. For guests who don't have golf carts or bikes this is very convenient.

    Requesting a site is similar to requesting a room at any of the Disney resorts. When it comes closer to your check-in date (a couple of weeks out) you may send a request via fax or include it on your reservation on line or by phone. However, as it is with the resorts requesting a specific site is not possible. Look through the information and select the loop you wish and at best you can then request being close to a comfort station or bus stop. But it is not really possible to request a specific exact site. If you have a favorite you can include that but please don't get your hearts set on it as if someone is there and not leaving they can not ask them to move. We have an area we love and request it but we never know what site we will get. We have gotten the same in the past but it was only luck.
