Hi there, Pat! Welcome to
planDisney. I'm always so happy to help a fellow Pennsylvania plan a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! It looks like you are just a few short months away from the magic, you must be getting so excited.
I'm so happy to hear that you have your ticket and
theme park reservation all set for your visit, as you'll need both to get through those Main Entrance Gates! The easiest way to manage your own tickets as well as link friends and family and through the
Disneyland Mobile App. You are correct in that you will need your husband's ticket number in order to link him to your account. Once you have that, you simply open the app and tap into the three-bar menu in the lower right-hand corner. Click into "Tickets and Reservations" and from there tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner. You will see "Link Tickets & Passes" where you will be able to manually enter the ticket number or even scan the barcode from your husband's ticket. Waiting until your park day or a few days before to link should not have an impact on your planning. The only issue that may arise with your husband's ticket is securing a theme park reservation if his ticket is purchased just a few days ahead of arrival. Reservations are limited and subject to availability, and they can fill up. My tip would be to keep an eye on the
reservation calendar to make sure your date is still available. Guests are also constantly changing their plans, so if it happens to be booked, keep checking as reservations can and often do open up!
In order to change the primary email address on the account, I would head to the
Disneyland website and sign in with the current email address and password. Once you are in, navigate to the "My Disneyland" tab along the top navigation bar all the way to the right and tap on "Profile". Scroll to "Account Settings" and choose "Edit" next to your email address. It will send a code to the current email address on file to be used in the next step for security measures, and should walk you through the process from there!
Pat, one other planning tip I'd love to impart is that you are also just a few days away from
dining reservations opening up to you! Reservations can be made 60 days out from the calendar date and they can fill up quickly. My recommendation is to make one or two ahead of time - they can always be canceled up until the day before if your plans change. I absolutely love grabbing a meal at
Carnation Cafe, one of Walt's spots from the early days of Disneyland. You will just love the location nestled right on Main Street, U.S.A., and you can even order "Walt's Chili" on the menu! It's such a great spot to soak in the sights and sounds of the park and watch fellow Guests make their way to Sleeping Beauty Castle!
Pat, I know this was a lot to take in, so please come back to see us if you have any more questions. We love helping our fellow Guests plan their days at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Magic awaits!
