Hi there, Christine!
Thanks for bringing your great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m so happy to hear that you’re planning a visit to the
Disneyland Resort. It sounds like you’ve got a magical vacation in the works for your group!
Yes, when booking
dining reservations it is best to include every person in your party, even a toddler without a paid theme park ticket. This is for restaurant safety and so Cast Members can prepare a table large enough to accommodate your little one’s high chair. However, children under 3 years old do eat for free at all-you-care-to-enjoy dining experiences, including
Character Dining meals! There are also meals specifically created with toddlers’ taste preferences and smaller appetites in mind at some restaurants, so be on the lookout for those on the menu. If you’re unable to re-book for a table of eight at this time, I suggest keeping your existing reservation and explaining upon arrival at the restaurant that you have one additional child in your party.
I hope this helps you plan, Christine, and that you have a practically perfect visit to the Happiest Place on Earth with your whole crew! Please stop by again with any other questions you can dream of as you put the finishing touches on your vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
