Hi Amy, welcome to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation countdown is nearing the single digits, which means things are about to get magical! Have you secured valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a
method of entry for each Guest over the age of 3? I understand
there may be something there that wasn't there before when looking at your Future Plans in My Disney Experience. Let's dig a little deeper and see if we can diagnose the Disney dilemma.
Scroll down on the
"My Plans" page of your My Disney Experience account. Do members of your party have more than one Disney Park Pass reservation for the same day? Next, take a look at your Future Plans on your
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the homepage --> Future Plans). Still seeing double?
Recent changes to the
Disney Park Pass system now make it possible to assign each theme park reservation to a ticket linked to your My Disney Experience account. There's even an associated confirmation number and email, which is extremely helpful. From personal experience, I know that an unintended ripple of this tech update was existing theme park reservations being linked to all tickets linked to an individual in My Disney Experience. This explained the duplicate reservations in my case.
If you click "Manage Reservation" next to a Disney Park Pass reservation in your My Disney Experience account
online and "Modify Reservation" next to the specific reservation you wish to view, the website will show which ticket each person's theme park reservation is linked to. In my case, I went through and canceled all of the duplicate Park Pass reservations that were linked to family members' tickets that are being saved for future visits. This was tedious work; at one point I ended up contacting a helpful Cast Member at the
My Disney Experience, MagicBand, MagicBand+ number just to make sure I was doing the next right thing. I'm glad I spent the time sorting out the tech trouble before my trip, which is what I wish for you, as well.
To review, if your family members are showing duplicate Disney Park Pass reservations, I recommend canceling the duplicate reservations to avoid the wrong ticket being scanned in at theme park entry. You can do this yourself or with the help of a Cast Member.
I hope you find this information helpful, Amy. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any
follow-up questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
