Hi. I’ve made reservations for Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast Dinner at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel for Monday December 29th. I’ll be at Disneyland with my kids that day. What is the best way to get to dinner from the park?

Hello there, Angelica! We are happy to have you drop by planDisney with your planning question for us. Welcome!

Oh my goodness! I am thrilled to hear that you will get to experience Mickey's Christmas Carol Feast at Storytellers Cafe! A few weeks ago, I got to experience this with a group of friends, and we had such a good time taking selfies with Scrooge, Jacob (Goofy), and of course, my favorite, Clarabelle! If you will be at Disneyland Park that day, the best way to get there is to head into Downtown Disney District and use that entrance for the Grand Californian. It is located between Sephora and Wonderful World of Sweets. Follow the signs to the lobby and then go towards Acorn Gifts & Goods. Next, head through the doors, and you will just be steps away from Storytellers Cafe. Don't miss out on the bread pudding! It was my favorite.

If you are heading back into the parks after dinner, you can switch it up and try the monorail! Use the Downtown Disney entrance from the Grand Californian and take a left just past the Lego store. On your right, you will see the Monorail station. This will bring you back into Disneyland Park to the Tomorrowland station. Depending on the time you return to the parks, you all can dance off some of that dinner at the Disney Holiday Dance Party. You'll see some of your favorite characters grooving to the holiday tunes on stage near Galactic Grill, which happens to be right near the Tomorrowland Monorail Station. My daughter was thrilled to get a chance to see Marie and the other Aristocats moving and grooving! Check the Daily Entertainment Schedule for hours.

Angelica, I hope this helps you plan out your visit. I hope you and your kids have a magical visit!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
