I made reservations for Donald's Safari Breakfast online. Our reservations are for 8:20 but I see the park says it opens at 9am. We are not staying at a Disney resort so we don't have extra hours. Is this possible? How will we get to the restaurant?

Hi Laura, Great choice! Donald's Safari Breakfast is my favorite way to start an Animal Kingdom day!

We love doing what you've (unintentionally) done...reserving our breakfast prior to the official Park opening time. Bring your confirmation number with you, and plan on arriving at the gate by 7:50am. The turnstile to the far right is marked as being specifically for early restaurant reservations. The Cast Member will ask for your confirmation number and will let you through. The rest of the Park will not be open, and there will be Cast Members directing you towards the Tusker House for your meal. It is such a peaceful, quiet time to be in the Animal Kingdom. You'll be heading back to the far left corner of the Park (near the Kilimanjaro Safari on the map). This walk can take 10-15 minutes, which is why I suggested that you arrive by 7:50 (since you need to be 15 minutes early for your reservation time as well). You can enjoy a wonderful breakfast, and you should be finishing up not long after the Park has opened. I recommend that you go straight to the Safari after breakfast. The animals are especially active in the morning.

Hope this helps and that you have a magical vacation!
