Hi there, Hernan! I'm so glad you found your way to planDisney. We love helping Guests (just like us!) plan their magic visits to the Happiest Place on Earth!
I'm so sorry to hear you had to cancel your visit in January but appreciate you looking out for the health and safety of your fellow Guests and Cast Members. I hope everyone in your family is healthy and ready for some magic! There are a few reasons that you are likely seeing some limited availability for March and May. Let's grab some fins and take a little deep dive like Ariel to see what we can find out!
1)
Tiered Ticket Pricing: if you are holding single-day tickets, you may be trying to book for a day that is in a higher tier than the value of the tickets you currently have. The pricing structure for tickets is based on factors like time of year and day of the week and certain tiers do have
black-out dates. Taking a quick look, it appears that you need to be holding a ticket that is Tier 5 or higher to be able to make a reservation for March 31st. If you'd like to upgrade your ticket to a higher tier, you can do this by visiting the Main Entrance Ticket Booth, or I would go ahead and give our Cast Members in
Ticket Services a call ahead of time to see if they are able to extend a little pixie dust to help you out ahead of your visit. You can reach them at (714) 781-4636.
2)
Theme Park Reservations: As part of the return to the magic, all Guests are required to have both a theme park ticket and a theme park reservation to enter the parks. Reservations are limited and subject to availability so it's also possible that March 31st is fully booked at the moment. You can always keep an eye on the
theme park reservation calendar to see when reservations open up - Guests are constantly modifying their plans so they can and often do become available! In fact, I can see that as of this moment, Disneyland Park is available if you are holding a One Park Per Day Ticket and both parks are available for Park Hopper tickets! This can change quickly, so if you see they are open, I would go ahead and book those reservations. They can be canceled up until 11:59 p.m. the evening before your visit.
Once you are all set with your new date, you may want to consider adding
Genie+ to your tickets! I was in the parks this weekend and having access to 19
Lightning Lanes across both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park made my day magically seamless! We also took advantage of the unlimited
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads that came with the Genie+ upgrade and captured some VERY fun Magic Shots!
Hernan, I sure hope this was helpful and we got to the bottom of your planning questions! Feel free to reach back out to us if you have any more or if you need more clarification. We are always here for you at
planDisney.
Never stop dreaming,
Tara
