Hi Brenda,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question, my fellow Canadian!
I’m pretty excited about getting to visit the planet Batuu at
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during my upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. One of the activities that I’ve already reserved is
Droid Depot and I can’t wait to build my very own astromech unit!
From what I understand, the current policy is that the number of people in your party is equivalent to the number of builders that will be taking part in this activity. Each builder can be accompanied by a Guest who is a non-builder, so if there are three people in your party, but not everyone wants to build a droid, then that person doesn’t need to be included in the Guest count.
If you currently have a party of 3, but one person doesn’t want to be a builder, I highly recommend modifying your reservation so that you can give other Guests a chance to snap up one of these highly coveted spots. As for the cancellation fee, from what I understand, there is a chance that you might pay one if your party is smaller than expected, so why run the risk? You should be able to modify your reservation by
contacting Walt Disney World Resort at least 24 hours before your experience. If you're staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel, your
Lobby Concierge might also be able to help you if you arrive for your stay before your experience’s cancellation policy.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
