Hello ! I have made reservations for the bibbidi bobbidi boutique for 5:30pm. I then read it says “packages with photo sessions after 4pm may not be available “. Is this a maybe or 100% sure thing. I ask because we would love to book the package with the

    Hi Vanessa,

Welcome back! Thank you for continuing to trust planDisney with your planning questions. It sounds like a lot has changed since your last visit! If you're anything like me, transitioning from a Disney Adult to a Disney mom called for a ton of research. I really had to look at the parks from a whole new perspective.

I took my daughter to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the first time earlier this year, and it was a truly magical experience! We celebrated her birthday together, and I have to say, I had just as much fun as she did. I'd be happy to share a bit about our visit!

We chose The Castle Package, which included a Keepsake Portrait Session. After her transformation, we walked over to the portrait area, located across from the Royal Hall and next to the Royal Theatre. There, she enjoyed a mini photo shoot with a carriage and another charming backdrop featuring woodland creatures. The Keepsake Portrait Session included a few printed photos, and we were also able to download the rest through Disney PhotoPass. The grandparents definitely added one to their living room collection!

As you mentioned, the reservation details note that the Keepsake Portrait Session may not be available if your appointment is after 4 PM. In my experience, I didn’t see many guests using the portrait area in the late evening, especially in the fall, when it gets dark earlier. If the photo session is a priority for you, I highly recommend moving your reservation to earlier in the day.

If you're worried about your little one lasting all day in a princess outfit, here are some tips to avoid a royal meltdown:

    1) Bring a backup outfit. I packed a cute princess spirit jersey for my daughter, along with a light princess-themed jacket, just in case she got uncomfortable.

    2) Wear or pack comfy shoes. While fancy shoes are fun, we couldn’t even see them in most of her photos!

    3) Plan around snacks. If your little one tends to get hangry (mine sure does), make sure they eat or have a snack before the appointment. The session can take 60–90 minutes, and you want your princess fueled and happy for the magic!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique page as your trip gets closer. Disney recently announced that Fairy Godmother visits will be added soon! The website also mentions new, simplified package options rolling out in early October. Since your trip might be after that, definitely check for updates.

I hope this information helps with your vacation planning, Vanessa! If you have more questions or need help with any other part of your trip, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’d love to share more tips and ideas to add a little pixie dust to your vacation.

    Have a magical trip!
