Welcome to planDisney, Alex!
I am so excited that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort in just a few short months! The Holidays are a dazzling time to visit the parks! With your
vacation package, your actual eTickets will be linked to your Disneyland Resort account four days before your arrival date. However, you can use your vacation package confirmation number to make theme park reservations right away. Let me step you through the process:
- Start on the "Theme Park Tickets and Reservations" page and click the "Make Park Reservations" button.
- After logging into your account, you'll be directed to the "My Theme Park Reservations Page." Scroll down and click the "Retrieve Hotel Reservation" button.
- Enter your confirmation number, last name, and arrival date. You will then be directed back to make theme park reservations for your vacation.
If you have Park Hopper tickets, you will make a theme park reservation for the park you want to start at each day. Then, at 1:00 p.m., you can hop to the other park and continue hopping back and forth the rest of the day if you wish.
If you haven't already, I recommend downloading the
Disneyland app and familiarizing yourself with it before your trip. It will be the best tool for navigating the parks efficiently. You will use it to see current attraction wait times, mobile order food from a variety of quick service locations, and it's the only way to join the virtual queues for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
Additionally, a new digital service called
Disney Genie will go live in the app sometime this fall. Disney Genie is complimentary and will create customized park-touring itineraries based on your interests. For an additional fee, you will be able to purchase Disney Genie+ which will allow you to select the next available arrival time for a certain attraction and skip most of the wait by using the Lightning Lane. This service will most likely be in place by December, so definitely read up on all the amazing features.
I hope this helps! Have an amazing time at the Disneyland Resort!
