    Hi Andrea!

We celebrate birthdays at Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort every year!  We love the "Fab Five" characters, the food and the atmosphere.  It sounds like you have already noted on your reservation that you have a birthday in the family, but I also like to tell the host/hostess when we check-in at the restaurant.  The staff typically sings to the birthday Guest and a cupcake is provided.  Check out how you can customize a birthday celebration at Walt Disney World, including cakes!  You can have a Celebrate Today! cake (for an additional charge) brought to your table by letting the host/hostess know.  If you would like to order a specialty cake, you can call the Walt Disney World Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253.  These cakes can be customized with your son's favorite character or movie as well as the flavor of cake, frosting and filling.  We have ordered specialty cakes for birthdays for the last several years and they are nothing short of beautiful and delicious.  These cakes are at an additional cost and the price varies based on the options you choose.

Don't forget to pick up a complimentary birthday button at your Walt Disney World Resort front desk or at any park!

    Have a magical day!
