Hi Sarina! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
I'm sorry to hear some of your party will no longer be able to make your upcoming dining reservation. Sometimes plans change! There are a couple options you can pursue since your total number has changed. I'll walk you through them.
First, you can attempt to
modify your existing reservation. However, your new dining group's size might not be available, as these modified plans are still subject to availability. If you attempt to modify your future plans in the Disneyland mobile app and don't see availability for your preferred dining time, simply don't take the final step of confirming new plans.
Instead, on the day of your reservation, when you check in with the Cast Member, let them know you're now a party of two. Check the cancelation policy for your
dining location; no-shows will be charged in most cases, but a reduced number in your party shouldn't incur a fee. However, each dining location has its specific policies regarding reservations, so it's important to review them. Prices and terms are subject to change.
Dining in the parks is one of my family's favorite things about a Disneyland Resort vacation. Our two top choices are Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park and Napa Rose in the gorgeous Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa. Those meals are always incredibly special experiences. We make it a practice to dine at them both anytime we visit.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
