Aloha, Miranda, and welcome back to planDisney!
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite places in Walt Disney World. Whether I'm stopping by for a bite or enjoying a stay full of Disney magic, I just can't get enough of those laid-back island vibes! For my family, no visit to the Polynesian is complete without a meal at
'Ohana. I love that you'll be spending an evening there with
your 'ohana, so let's straighten out the details of that dining reservation!
Miranda,
Advance Dining Reservations in Disney World should always include every member of your party (yes, even
the pint-sized ones!). This is for safety reasons and to ensure that your family has enough space at your table. I know this leaves you in a bit of a pickle with your dining reservation, but as our friend Lilo would say,
I'm sure Elvis had his bad days, too. So don't fret just yet, because I have a solution for you!
Your first option is to use your
My Disney Experience app to book two new, separate reservations instead. You'll need to split your party in half and book two different reservations right around the same time (and don't forget to cancel your original reservation!). When you arrive at the restaurant, let a Disney Cast Member know that your parties are actually together. While I can't guarantee you'll be at the same table, Cast Members are always happy to help when they can!
Alternatively, you could also use the chat feature in your My Disney Experience app to connect with a Disney Cast Member. Ask them to add your infant to your party, and they may be able to adjust your existing reservation to reflect all 9 of you. Again, this isn't a guarantee, but it never hurts to ask. After all, 'ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind!
I hope this helps, Miranda! I'll be wishing on a star that your 'Ohana dreams come true! If you have any other questions as you plan your magical stay, feel free to
write me directly. I'm always happy to help!
Aloha 'oe,
Allison
