Hello, Barbara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!
Classic afternoon tea at the Disneyland Hotel has been on my wish list for several years! I’m hoping that on our next visit my family and I will carve out some time to enjoy this dainty and delectable experience. Your mother and daughter should have no trouble whatsoever checking in for their reservation under your name. You might want to send the reservation confirmation number along with them just in case, though. Or if you would rather it be under one of their names, you can call Disney Dining at (714) 781-3463 and they should be able to modify the reservation for you. They can also add in notes like if they will be celebrating a birthday or any other special occasion.
The tea is held in the beautiful and sophisticated
Steakhouse 55 on the main level of the
Disneyland Hotel. Your mother and daughter might want to allow a bit of extra time to explore some of the historic charm of the hotel either before or after their reservation. In particular, they should take a few moments to gaze at the enormous collage of vintage Disneyland memorabilia that is located in the main hallway. If they wander over to the lobby area, they can rest in some adorable tea cup chairs and may even stumble upon a character or two as they visit Guests checking in to the hotel. Or they can make their way to the Frontier Tower to see a large scale model of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
I hope this information was helpful. Please stop by again if you have any other questions!
