Hi. I made reservation for Mickey's Backyard BBQ at the end of September for my husband's bday. When I made the reservation, it excepted out dining credits, but when I received email confirmation it says they do not except the Disney dining plan. Any idea?

    Hi Jennifer,

You are going to love Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. My family experienced this fun and lively dinner show last summer and had a blast. This will be a fantastic way to celebrate your husband's birthday.

According to the official brochure for the 2014 Disney Dining Plan, it is accepted for Mickey's Backyard BBQ, although it does require TWO table service credits, rather than just one. I am not sure why the confirmation email stated that, but to be on the safe side, I would recommend calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) to speak with a cast member. Sometimes plans or policies can change without notice, so I wouldn't want there to be any question. The only other explanation I can think of is if you have the quick-service dining plan, MIckey's Backyard BBQ is considered a dinner show and does not accept quick service credits.

I hope this helps clarify and please consider calling Disney Dining to confirm. Have a magical vacation and please wish your husband a very happy birthday from all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
