Hello Carmi, welcome to planDisney! The email you received is correct: Disneyland will close early on May 6, 2025 for
Star Wars Nite. However, it shouldn't impact your plans too much.
The good news is that you can certainly spend the day in Disneyland with a valid theme park ticket and reservation, up until 8 p.m. when the park closes. If you have a
Park Hopper ticket, you could wrap up your visit at California Adventure, which will be
open until 10 p.m. that night. Otherwise, you can spend some time exploring the
Downtown Disney District. There are many great restaurants to choose from and shops to browse, and you can even go bowling!
The
Disneyland After Dark events generally begin at 9 p.m. and end at 1 a.m. These separately ticketed events feature themed entertainment, Character appearances, photo opportunities, and more. Guests with these event tickets can typically check in and enter the park starting at 6 p.m. At the time of writing this, tickets are still available for the May 6 event. If you are a fan of Star Wars and would like to experience an after-hours event, you might
consider getting tickets!
There is Star Wars fun at Disneyland during the day as well, for all Guests to enjoy, since it's
Season of the Force. There is themed food and merchandise, memorable Character encounters, and more to discover. I love
Hyperspace Mountain, a thrilling adventure where you'll encounter X-wing starfighters and Imperial TIE fighters!
Another option you have, Carmi, is to modify your theme park reservation to a different day that does not have an After Dark event, if it's important for you to stay late at Disneyland. To modify an existing reservation, hover over the "My Disneyland" button
on the website and click "Theme Park Reservations." From there, click "Make or Modify Park Reservations" to adjust the date of your ticket. You can also do this on the app.
Carmi, I hope you have a fantastic time at the Disneyland Resort with your three-day ticket. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
