I made a reservation for Liberty Tree in MK but found out MK has a special ticketed event that night. We have park tickets for our trip but not for that ticketed event. Can we keep our reservation?

    Hey there, Lori!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds as if a delicious Thanksgiving feast is in your future, any day of the year. A visit to Liberty Tree Tavern means cozy tables, colonial vibes, and plenty of mashed potatoes (they just happen to be my favorite part). Let's go over what you need to know about dining and specially ticketed events, so you can be sure this meal stays on your magical itinerary.

Lori, on nights that special events take place, Guests will need a separate ticket to remain in Magic Kingdom after the designated park closing. Even if they have a dining reservation. If you have a ticket to Magic Kingdom, you will still be able to enjoy a full day in this park, right up to the start of the special event. And as long as your dining reservation is before the start of the special event, you are good to go! For example, if the park closes for a separately ticketed event at 7 PM, you can keep your reservation as long as the start time is before seven. You'll be able to take your time during your meal (no need to rush), and once you are finished, Cast Members will direct you to the designated exit route. If your reservation is currently scheduled during the special event, you will need to change the time or date to attend. Or purchase a ticket to the event!

During your Magic Kingdom day, be sure to check out Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This beloved attraction recently got a glow-up, and it is a must-see! And if you want to save time during your visit, consider adding Lightning Lanes to your day. You'll be able to ride Big Thunder, and many more attractions with minimal wait. Now that's pretty magical.

    We'll see ya real soon!
