Bright Suns, Sara!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to hear you’re planning to visit the planet of Batuu in
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I just returned from a visit to a galaxy, far, far away and I was blown away by how immersive and fun it is to explore Batuu.
During my time in
Black Spire Outpost, I stopped by Savi’s Workshop and was able to take part in the lightsaber building experience. Sara, I had chills by the end – you will feel the Force flowing throughout the experience, and it’s really something special.
I chatted with the Gatherers at
Savi’s Workshop, and they shared that, in situations where the Builder’s Guest has a youngling (under the age of 3) with them, both the Guest and the youngling will be allowed. Please note, though, that your podracer (that’s Batuuan for stroller) will likely not be allowed inside the workshop. It’s a very small, intimate space, and I was told that podracers must be parked outside; there is ample podracer parking throughout the land. When you arrive at Savi’s workshop to check in, just let the Gatherer you speak with know that there are three of you, and ask about the podracer, as that decision is at their discretion.
Enjoy your visit to Black Spire Outpost and have so much fun living your Star Wars adventure! I think your little one will especially enjoy the
Creature Stall in the Marketplace area – there are so many creatures there, and the Cast Members have lots of ways to interact with them. It’s really fun!
I hope you and your family enjoy your visit to Batuu! If you have any questions as you prepare to blast into hyperspace, please come back and let us know.
‘Til the Spire,
Robyn
