I am so glad you asked this question about modifying an Advanced
Dining Reservation at a
Walt Disney World restaurant. We do this frequently, and there are several ways to do so.
First, take a look at your reservation in your
My Disney Experience account online. You should see this reservation under your Daily Itinerary tab. There, select Change Reservation. This will open up a page where you can edit your party size. Another way to modify your reservation is through the super-convenient
My Disney Experience app. Just click on the hamburger icon--three horizontal lines on top of each other--in the bottom right corner of your screen. Scroll down to My Plans and you'll see your reservation there. Select it and click on Get Details then click the option to modify. Easy peasy!
Derek, if there doesn't seem to be availability for a party of five, you may be able to get this on the day of your reservation. If using the app to check into your dining reservation, you will be asked for the number of people in your party. If you are able to select 5 at that time, all should be well. You can also check-in at the restaurant. I often arrive at a WDW restaurant a bit early to explain to the Cast Member at check-in if I have any additional needs--including asking if there's room for one more at our table. If it's possible, they'll be happy to make that adjustment.
Derek, your group is going to absolutely love dining at
Wailulu Bar & Grill! My husband and I just tried it on our recent stay at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and we were wowed by every element. Not only is the setting absolutely beautiful, but the menu choices are all so good. In fact, we enjoyed our lunch so much, we made a dinner reservation for two days later. The Short Rib Loco Moco, Grilled Fish of the Day, Dole Whip Sundae, Chocolate Cake--oh, my. All are so, so pretty--and so, so good!
