Rosie from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I made a reservation for my entire party, but it was only my name on the tickets instead of each individual name, am I able to change that or is it fine to keep it that way?

Greetings, Rosie, and welcome to planDisney! It's so wonderful to share the magic of the Disneyland Resort with family and friends. You're off to a good start with having theme park tickets and reservations all set. Let's make sure you're ready for your upcoming visit!

Rosie, it is okay if your name is listed on the theme park tickets. A ticket is officially assigned to a Guest when it's scanned at the park entrance for the first time. At that point, a Cast Member will take the Guest's photo, and from then on, that photo is used for verification when entering the park. Of course, if you prefer to change the name on an unused ticket, it's easy to do. Just call the Ticket support phone line ahead of your trip and talk with a Cast Member. They will be glad to assist you with the name updates!

If you decide to keep the tickets as they are, just note the last four digits for each ticket and the name of the person it will be linked to. When it's time to scan in, make sure the names on your list match each ticket as it's scanned. That way, you'll know who is assigned to which ticket.

Rosie, keep in mind that residency-based special offer tickets will require each Guest to show a government-issued photo ID to confirm eligible residency. Also, once a park ticket is used for the first time, it can't be reassigned to someone else. Lastly, if anyone would like to add a ticket to the Disneyland mobile app on their device, they'll just need the ticket number. You can pull up the ticket in your app, and they can either scan the barcode or enter the ticket number in their app.

Whenever I visit the Disneyland Resort as part of a group, I try to plan major parts of the day in advance. There may be times when the group splits up to do different things, with everyone coming together for meals, must-see entertainment, and certain attractions. It's also helpful to get a list of priorities from each person and try to incorporate them into the itinerary. If rides are important to you, consider the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which will help you spend less time at participating attractions throughout the day. Since you have everyone's ticket in your account, it will be easy for you to manage Lightning Lane selections.

I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your plans, Rosie! If you have any other questions ahead of your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.

As Mickey would say, “See ya real soon!”
