Hiya, Ben!
Thanks for bringing another question to planDisney. Since you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort in just a few weeks, now is a great time to finalize all those last-minute details on your planning to-do list, like making your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system. Let me share a few details about how Disney Park Pass reservations work to help you make the most of your upcoming visit.
When making reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system, you'll only need to make a reservation for the
first park you plan to visit each day. If you're planning to Park Hop to another Walt Disney World theme park later the same day, you can do this beginning at 2 PM EST
without making an additional theme park reservation (subject to capacity limits). This means that since you've already made your reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios, you'll be welcome to visit Magic Kingdom Park the same day starting at 2 PM.
Just keep in mind that in order to visit multiple parks in one day, your theme park admission must include the
Park Hopper Option. Don't worry, though –– if the park ticket you've purchased doesn't currently include park hopping, there are two easy ways to add it:
1. Using the
My Disney Experience mobile app, tap on the three lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen and select "Tickets and Passes" from the menu. Next to the ticket you would like to upgrade, tap "Change Ticket" and follow the onscreen prompts to add the Park Hopper Option to your ticket.
2. Visit any Walt Disney World theme park ticketing window or
Guest Relations location once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, and a Cast Member will be happy to help you upgrade your ticket.
One other thing to note about the Park Hopper Option, though, is that it's can't be added to just one day of your ticket –– when you upgrade, it will need to be added to each day of theme park admission that you've purchased. For this reason, I recommend using the app or stopping by Guest Relations to add the Park Hopper Option to your ticket
before you enter a Walt Disney World theme park for the first time. That way, you'll be able to make the most of your upgrade and visit multiple parks each day throughout your visit!
I'm so glad you stopped back by planDisney, Ben. I'm wishing you lots of pixie dust during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
