Hi Karen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you were able to secure such a popular dining reservation! I don't blame you one bit for your concern. It's not every day that one gets to dine amongst Disney royalty at
Cinderella's Royal Table!
Disney Dining Reservations open 180 days in advance for all Walt Disney World Resort guests, including those who stay off-site or who are local to the Orlando area, which means reservations are unaffected by
Disney Resort Hotel changes. Even when using a dining plan, dining reservations are technically connected to your My Disney Experience Account and are backed by your credit card should you miss the reservation. It's only when actually dining that you notify your server that you'd like to use your
Disney Dining Plan entitlements to pay for your meal(s) that everything gets sorted out correctly.
Certain advanced dining reservations,
dinner shows, dessert events and signature experiences like Cinderella's Royal Table do require full payment in advance at the time of the booking. To me, that's kind of like a double assurance that you'll still get to keep your reservation since you've already paid for it.
For even more confirmation, triple-check that your reservation is a-okay when changing your reservation from a Package to a Room-Only reservation, which can only be done by calling the Walt Disney World Resort Reservation line. Their phone number is (407) 939-1936.
I hope this helped, Karen, and We'll See You Real Soon!
