I made a reservation for character dining online, but I would like to add a private table visit to sing birthday song to my daughter and to reserve a cake too. The dining number has no one answer all the time. What can I do?

    Hiya, Suki!

You are right that calling Disneyland Resort Dining Information at +1 (714) 781-DINE or +1 (714) 781-3463 is the correct way to request a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to be included with your existing Character Dining reservation. Cast Members are available from 7 am to 7 pm Pacific time. Alternatively, you may book a replacement reservation online and select the Mickey Celebration Cake as an add-on to the new reservation. Then, simply cancel the previous reservation once you receive the confirmation for the new reservation.

My family loves to celebrate Birthdays at the Disneyland Resort. When you check in at the restaurant host podium, be sure to let the Cast Member there know you are celebrating your daughter’s birthday. Although the characters at most dining experiences do not speak or sing, they are usually happy to spend a little extra time with children celebrating something special. If possible, I recommend picking up a Complimentary Birthday Button at one of the main Guest Services locations before your meal. You may even find that the front desks of the Disneyland Resort Hotels may have a button available for you. When your daughter wears that button, Cast Members and characters will be able to spot the birthday girl and help spread a little extra pixie dust to help make some magical memories. When that celebration cake arrives, you may want to invite the delivering Cast Members along as you sing out special birthday wishes for your princess.

I hope you have a magical time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, Suki!
