I've made a reservation at California Grill for 9:20 with the fireworks at 10pm that night. Thoughts on whether or not this is a bad time to still see the fireworks?

    Hey, Kari-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Keep those questions coming. We love them! California Grill on top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort gives a spectacular view of Magic Kingdom Park. You will love the experience.

Wishes nighttime spectacular fireworks showcase is a magnificent addition to an already perfect meal at the California Grill. I have viewed the fireworks from this wonderful space many times. My preference is to make a reservation about 40 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled. Your 9:20 p.m. reservation is "practically, perfect in every way." When the fireworks begin I like to be outside on the observation deck where my view is crisp and uninhibited by glass and light reflection. Music is piped into speakers both inside and outside the restaurant. It is just amazing how those bright flashes of light dance to the music. Inside they will dim the lights to magnify the brilliance of the exploding colors.

In my experience, most people get up from the table and wander out to the observation deck for the fireworks.
