Hi, Lisa welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your questions about your family trip. I'll be happy to explain all the benefits of being on each other's app.
Having your brother on your "Family and Friends "doesn't mean you will be in total control of him. He will still have access to manage his own plans on the
My Disney Experience App. Whether the reservations are for your day at one of the
Walt Disney World theme parks or your stay with one of the Disney Resort Collection hotels. Having your brother's family in your "Friends and Family" list is actually beneficial. Say it's for your
Lighting Lane with Genie+, you can split up and half the family can go to Big Thunder Mountain and the others would rather Pirates of the Caribbean you can select each group and go your separate ways and meet back up.
Your trip is around the corner and luckily you are still going to make it on time to be able to celebrate the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. This big family trip sounds like you'll be making some memories to last a lifetime. I would be sure to make sure to spend some time just being silly. Parents get a pass to act like a kid while at Disney. And you are making all the right moves and planning ahead. So you will be able to let it all hang out. In all honesty, those are the times that stick out from my childhood and now as a parent too. Never the rides or the meals. Instead, laughing waiting in line for the next attraction, or walking back to the parking lot all so tired from all the fun we had all day.
I hope this information is helpful and that you have a great time while on vacation with your family.
Drop us a line if you still have questions before your trip begins.
See ya real soon!
