Hi Bonnie! Welcome to planDisney!
Can you believe that the start of your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is now less than 60 days away? How exciting is that?! It will be here before you know it, so I'm glad you are already starting to think about making
Advanced Dining Reservations!
Advanced Dining Reservations can be made 60 days in advance, starting at 6:00 a.m. Now, Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel get the added benefit of being able to book for their entire stay (for up to 10 days) 60 days before their scheduled check-in. So, since you’re not staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you are likely seeing a message to link a hotel reservation to be able to book for the days of your visit that are more than 60 days from today. In this case, you’ll just need to log in each morning to be able to make dining reservations for each day of your visit.
Now, don't lose faith if you're not seeing the reservation you were hoping for, Bonnie! I always tell people to keep a super close eye on your
My Disney Experience app in the days leading up to your vacation. Guest's plans change all the time, and since there is a $10 charge per Guest for any reservation cancellation done with less than 24 hours' notice (though that fee is subject to change), you will see that many dining times pop up in the days and weeks leading up to your visit as cancellations come through. So, I usually check the app about 2-3 times per day and almost always find the reservation I am looking for. This is especially common in the few days before my arrival. All it takes is a little patience and persistence!
If you ask me, Bonnie, the food is the best part of any Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I just know you are going to have a deliciously delightful time with your family! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if you’d just like to hear some of our dining recommendations.
Until next time,
Diana
