Additionally, I'm happy to share that you are absolutely correct and should be well on your way to the park hopping during your visit (subject to park capacity). It sounds like you've nailed all of the correct planning steps here by making your initial
park reservation and purchasing the
Park Hopper option.
On the day of your visit, you'll start your day in Disneyland Park and then starting at 11:00 AM you'll be able to hop between both parks, again subject to park capacity. Park reservations are typically not connected to your ability to utilize park hopping though on busier days they may limit admission during peak times of the day.
If you haven't already, I'd also recommend considering adding on
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your visit as well. While it is an additional expense, I'm a big fan of adding it on as it works really well with the Park Hopper option since you can book Lightning Lane return times in either park after 11:00 AM, which adds a lot of extra flexibility to your day.
