Hi, Melva! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
While 7-10 business days tends to be the average length for refunds to appear on your account, it really depends on your financial institution and the type of payment you used when booking your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation (as well as the type of reservation you’ve canceled). In my experience, a room-only reservation refund typically appears within those 7-10 business days. But if you’ve also paid for a package that includes Theme Park tickets and airfare, the refund process is different (since
tickets and airfare are typically nonrefundable).
If you haven’t canceled your original reservation yet, I would recommend logging into your
My Disney Experience account to see if it can be
canceled online. If that’s an option, you should see a blue button allowing you to “Cancel Your Reservation.” Otherwise, you’ll need to call the
“Disney Resort Hotel Reservations” helpline and speak with a Cast Member who can let you know about your options for modifying or canceling your initial reservation.
I’m glad to hear you’ll be able to take advantage of the
current Free Dining promotion, Melva, and I hope you enjoy your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Best wishes,
Amy
