Made lunch ressie at Tusker. See menu is African flare, but have no clue what that might include...any guidance? Have 4 boys under age of 7. Wanted Yak and Yeti or Rain Forest, but no luck.

Hi, Amy!  Tusker House has an awesome menu at lunch that does indeed include some African (and Indian) flavors on the menu!  It's a buffet, though, and you'll find some things that will be familiar and kid friendly among the many new culinary delights you might want to try out.

The menu is subject to change, but some of the items you may find include Tunisian couscous salad, hummus, curries, a seafood stew with a tamarind flavor, and jollaf rice.  There are things that are definitely made just for a kid palate, like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, corn dog nuggets, and chicken drumsticks.  But even less adventurous adult diners will find roast pork loin, carved sirloin roast, rotisserie chicken, and fruit salad.  I can't imagine anyone leaving here hungry!

You can also continue to check back for the other restaurants you preferred.  There are often cancellations - even up to the day you wish to dine.  I have even been able to go up to the podium on occasion and find availability due to a last minute cancellation.  I think you'll find things you enjoy at Tusker House, but if it's important to you to dine elsewhere, keep trying!

    Have a great vacation!
