Dawn from NY Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I just made my hotel reservation and all parks are available during my stay. Do I need to make my park reservations today? It only allows to select one park per person per day we bought the park hopper plus option.

Hello, Dawn, and welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chat about your Walt Disney World vacation next year. I know you've got to be getting so excited.

Dawn, I'm glad to see that you've already started planning your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth next May. Planning is half the fun and my favorite way to stay excited about something that is further away. I see that you've gone ahead and made your resort reservations and have purchased tickets. That's great! If it were me, I'd go ahead and make those park pass reservations. Sometimes a date here or there can fill up unexpectedly and I would hate to have that happen to you since you are planning well in advance to avoid things like that. If your plans change over the next few months while you are planning, park pass reservations are really pretty easy to change around.

Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day, Dawn. I think you are really going to love visiting multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. Right now, park hopping looks a little bit different with the park pass reservation system.

Here's how park hopping is currently working:

    • Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
    • Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservations for the initial theme park they'd like to visit each day
    • It is not possible or necessary to hold more than park pass reservation per day, even with the park hopper option. Just one for the first theme park you plan to visit each day
    • On the day of, Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later that day. This sort of "activates" the hopper feature each day
    • Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
    • To make park hopping a little bit more convenient at this time, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided.
So, as you can see, you aren't able to make multiple park pass reservations each day so you are doing everything right! I hope this helps clear up any questions you might have had about the park pass reservation system and your park hopper passes. If you have other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have fun and happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
