Hi there Marc, welcome back to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. It sounds like you’re gearing up for a wonderful trip to
Walt Disney World Resort, and I love that you’re looking into the best ways to make your stay as magical and seamless as possible. Using military tickets is a smart way to save, and I’m excited to help you figure out how to add dining plans and Memory Maker to your hotel reservation to get the most out of your Disney experience!
If you make just a hotel reservation at Walt Disney World and buy your park tickets separately through the military MWR program, you can still add a Disney Dining Plan and Memory Maker later. However, to add the dining plan, your reservation needs to be a
vacation package that includes both hotel and park tickets. Since your tickets are from MWR and not part of a package, you’ll need to contact
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to modify your booking and upgrade it to a package that includes the dining plan.
As for
Memory Maker, military personnel can purchase it at a discounted price, but this is usually done in person at Disney Guest Relations or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. You’ll need to show your military ID to get the discount. Once purchased, you can link Memory Maker to your My Disney Experience account to access your photos.
Even though your tickets are from MWR, you can link them to your
My Disney Experience account, which lets you manage park reservations, book dining, and use other Disney planning tools. If you have any trouble linking your tickets or adding the dining plan, the Disney’s reservation team can help guide you.
Marc, I hope this information helps as you put together all the magical details of your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Thank you again for visiting planDisney, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any more questions as you continue planning. Wishing you a pixie-dusted trip filled with unforgettable memories!
