I have made my fast pass selections for the day but checking to see if I want to modify them. Why is it that an attraction shows up as available when I pick one ride to modify but it does not show up as available when I try to modify a different ride?

    Hi Maribeth,

If you've already made your FastPass+ selections, that has to mean that your upcoming Disney vacation is, in the words of Pocahontas, "Just around the riverbend!" SO exciting! I bet you're counting down the days and practically bursting with anticipation!

The complimentary FastPass+ service is such a wonderful time saver, so I'm glad to hear that you're taking full advantage of it and making your plans ahead of time. You're able to select three FastPass+ attractions or experiences per day within one theme park before you even arrive, and yes, you should be able to make changes to those selections. I'm betting that the reason you're seeing availability change when you try to edit your selections is because of the Tier system, which is utilized at Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You'll only be able to make one FastPass+ selection from a Tier 1 attraction or experience ahead of time, so if you try to edit a selection that is also within Tier 1, you'll see any other Tier 1 availability. If, however, you're trying to edit a Tier 2 selection, you'll only see other Tier 2 availability. For example, if you currently have FastPass+ selections for Frozen Ever After (Tier 1), Spaceship Earth (Tier 2), and Living With the Land (Tier 2) at Epcot, but would like to check for Test Track (Tier 1) availability, you'll only see that come up if you try to modify your Frozen Ever After selection. The great news, though, is that after you've enjoyed all three of your initial FastPass+ selections, you may use the My Disney Experience mobile app or an in-park kiosk to make additional selections, one at a time, within any Tier and at any theme park.

I hope this helps as you're putting together all of the final pieces of your itinerary. If this didn't solve your issues and you're still having troubles, I'd suggest calling a Cast Member who specializes in My Disney Experience and FastPass+ and he or she would be happy to help you.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Maribeth, and please let us know if we can help with anything else. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
