I made dinner reservations at Kona Cafe on our last night .. Is kona cafe an easy access to view the fireworks and is having dinner at 8:25pm cutting it a little too close to watch the fireworks at 10pm?

Aloha, Natalie! Thanks so much for your question. I absolutely love Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. One of my favorite things to order is the macadamia nut pancakes for breakfast, and I always get an order of the sticky wings for lunch or dinner. Kona Cafe is located on the second level of the lobby of Disney's Polynesian Resort. It is also located more towards the front of the resort lobby, while the fireworks would be happening across the water out the back of the lobby. With that being said, you can't see the fireworks if you are sitting down at Kona Cafe. To be able to see the fireworks you will have to go down to the ground level and walk out the back of the resort past the pool area to the beach. I personally think that you should be able to make it out back in time for a 10pm fireworks show, but it depends on a lot of things including how fast you can eat, the service, and also the dinner crowd. If I were you I would check in to the dining reservation ten minutes before your 8:25pm dinner and make sure to let your server know that you'd like to make it outside in time to catch the fireworks. Usually servers are really good at making sure you get to where you need to be in a timely manner if you let them know in advance. I was able to watch the fireworks on the beach last May, and it was one of my favorite memories from that trip. The music is not piped in on the beach, but there is also no Main Street U.S.A. crowd to beat and you can stick your feet in the sand. I'd call that a relaxing end to a wonderful vacation.

I hope this helps, and please let us know if there is anything else we can do. Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
