    I made dining reservations at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Chef Mickey's & Crystal Palace for 6. When making reservations, I was told that the whole party might not sit together. What are the chances of this happening? I don't want our family to be split up

    Hi Laurel!

    You're going to really enjoy your dining selections at Walt Disney World.
    Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of my family's top favourites! Be sure to ask for 'Cajun Chad' to be your server, if he happens to be working that evening. He's a true Disney Gem of a Cast Member!

    Often, the message advising you that your party may be seated at more than one table will come up when reserving for a party of 6 Guests or more. This is simply because the number of tables that actually seat 6 guests at one table is limited in each dining location, and there may already be several larger groups dining at the same time or an overlapping time with your reservation.

    Over my many years of Disney Dining and many larger, travel groups of 8 guests or more, I've rarely actually had my party split up. Your chances of enjoying the meal together, at one table, are very good and I would not worry about it at all. Only once when we had a party of 9 were we asked if we minded 2 tables side by side. In that case, we gladly accepted the 2 tables and the 5 kids enjoyed eating together with the 4 adults right next to them. If you are asked if you mind splitting up at two table, simply say that you'd rather wait for the next table that can seat your party together.
