Hi, I have made dining reservations for 6 people. Our family and my in-laws, but my son who is 2 will not be eating. Will the 18% tip still be charged to my credit card, even if we are only 5 paying for the meal?

    Hi there, Stephanie!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We are here to help!

It sounds like you are planning a grand family gathering at Walt Disney World Resort with your children and their grandparents. I'm sure you will all have an amazing time as there is no better place to make family memories!

For your Disney Dining reservations, you should not be charged the 18% gratuity since you will only have five people who are eating. Once you arrive for your dining reservation, the Cast Member serving you should see that there are only five of you ordering. So technically, you will only be billed for five people. If you noted the ages of each member of your family when you made your dining reservations, then each reservation should show you as a party of five plus one infant. So for cancellation purposes, you would also only be charged for five people if you happened to not make it to one of your reservations. If you simply listed six adults on the reservations, you might want to call and have a Cast Member modify your party just in case something unforeseen happens and you miss one of them.

I hope this helps to answer your question and please let us know if you think of anything else. Have a magical day and happy planning!
