I made dining reservations last weekend for our group of 13. Yesterday one member of our group decided she can no longer go with us. How can I change our reservations to 12 people without canceling the whole reservation? Thanks!

    Hi, Whitney!

These things happen; we've had to adjust our reservation by one or two folks on several occasions, so don't worry. Thankfully, your number is shrinking, rather than growing, so this should be an easy fix.

First, I would call Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE and let the Cast Member assisting you know that you'd like to adjust your reservation from 13 to 12 people. There are occasions when removing one person from the reservation is no trouble at all, so if this is one of them, you'll be all set.

However, I've had an instance or two when a CM could not make such a change for me, perhaps because it was within 24 hours of a reservation or some other complication. In those instances, I simply told the CM at the restaurant check-in of the change in my party size. Again, because you are downsizing, rather than growing, this won't be a problem.

Have a wonderful meal with your party of 12, Whitney! I'm sure it will be a memorable night!
