Ive made all dining reservations for a large group and I am unable to change the guest on reservations that i will not be part of. Will that cause a problem at check in. One group will be an 18 and 17 year old. They will be using Magic Band to pay

    Hi Carol,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I hope you're getting ready for a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation!

I don't know that I can comment specifically on your question as I don't have all the details on the reservation or how you made it, but I am happy to try to help as best I can. It sounds like perhaps you made a dining reservation and — because you are not going to be a part of the reservation — you named another Guest as the primary contact for the "Who will Manage the Reservation?" question. This is what I think is preventing you from changing a Guest on the reservation. You still should have received a reservation confirmation number via email. You could call Disney Dining at 407-939-DINE (3463) to make the reservation updates. While I don't have the specific restaurant details or cancellation policy for the reservation in question, I can share that — generally speaking — the important thing is that the primary contact who is managing the reservation arrives at the expected time with the expected number of Guests in the dining party. I wouldn't think there would be any issue if one Guest takes another Guest's place.

Carol, I hope this information is helpful as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation. Please do come back to us here at Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help in any way.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
