I've made dining reservations for our July trip for our family of five. If my college-aged son has to back out of the trip and I take him off our hotel reservations how does that change my dining reservations? Will they make me rebook to 4 people?

    Hi Edward,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Plans change, and you can easily remove your son from your advanced dining reservations if it turns out he cannot accompany you. In fact, it's always easier to reduce the number of people in your party than it is to add people.

At any time, simply go the the dining reservations area of My Disney Experience. You just click on the button to modify your reservation and change the number. You can do this either in the desktop version of My Disney Experience or using the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

Please keep in mind that your resort reservation is separate from your dining reservations, so changing your hotel reservation won't automatically change your dining reservation.

I hope that's clear, Edward. Please check back with us if you need more information or if you'd like restaurant recommendations for those dining reservations. (Hint: Make sure you look at all the delicious new options at Disney Springs). We're always happy to help!

    Enjoy,
