Hi Carol,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your dining reservations are made and your trip to Walt Disney World will be here SO soon – how exciting!
Did you know that there are more than 15,400 different food items available at Walt Disney World? The wonderful Cast Members want to ensure Guests with
special dietary requests feel safe and comfortable, and with that variety of options, I hope you’ll find lots of delicious choices that work for you. Please call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 and let the Cast Member know that you already have reservations and need to add a note about food allergies; the food and beverage team appreciates the heads up so they can be ready for your arrival.
Carol, I have a family member with food allergies, so I understand how important it is to make sure you have the right information and have choices you can feel good about. When you arrive at any Quick-Service or Table-Service location, notify the host or hostess about the food allergies, and ask to see an allergy-friendly menu; those menus have special notes that make it easy for you to decide what to order. Your server can assist as well, and you are welcome to ask to speak to the chef. If you’re at a buffet, you can even request to have someone walk you through the buffet and point out allergy-friendly options. As part of Moms Panel training, I had the chance to meet a Disney nutritionist and a chef, and I was really impressed by their commitment to making you feel included and accommodated so you can focus on having an unforgettable time with your loved ones.
Wishing you a magical and yummy vacation!
Robyn
