Hi there, Jeff! Welcome back to planDisney. I see that you are making your way to the Happiest Place on Earth for your next trip this fall! September is one of the very best times of year to visit the parks, in my opinion. The summer crowds have gone back to school and the grim grinning ghosts of
Halloween Time will be out to play! The fall festivities kick off on September 2nd just in time for your visit!
We here at planDisney love to find a fellow planner amongst us! It looks like you are dutifully making your Disneyland
dining reservations 60 days in advance of arrival, and you are one of the lucky few to score a time at
Lamplight Lounge! You must have pixie dust in your fingertips. Typically, the time you see on the website, in your dining confirmation email, and in your
Disneyland Mobile App, all reflect Pacific Standard Time. I am an East Coaster, and I can't say that I have ever seen it adjust for my local time (EST), so this question is a bit of a conundrum! I'm wondering if your personal computer or smartphone has a calendar setting that automatically updates events to local time? I recently traveled for work and was scheduling meetings in CST, and I had to specifically clarify the time zone each time or else it would automatically set to EST. Just a thought!
To double check what time that reservation is scheduled, I would recommend opening up the Disneyland Mobile App. If you tap the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Future Plans", you will see any upcoming theme park reservations as well as any dining reservations you have made. These will be listed in PST so you can double-check if it's for 11 a.m. or 1 p.m.! Likewise, if something continues to seem amiss, you can always talk to the
Guest Relations team at either park once you are on the ground at the Disneyland Resort. They should be able to look into your account to confirm the accurate timing. The host at Lamplight Lounge can do the same if you are nearby and want to pop over when they open, which is 9 a.m. on weekends and 11:30 a.m. on weekdays.
If you're a foodie, one of the best new features of the Disneyland Mobile App is the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability, which allows you to put your name on the waitlist for same-day reservations at select table service restaurants! While this is not a guarantee, I love this option if you are playing your day by ear and just want to go with the flow. Some of my fellow panelists have even scored tables at the coveted
Oga's Cantina in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge this way!
Jeff, I sure hope this was helpful in your planning! If you need any more advice (or magic!) you know where to find us here at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
