Hi Ashley,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I’m sorry to hear you’re having this issue right before your vacation.
When you book dining reservations, you put a
credit card on the reservation as a placeholder. While some reservations are paid in full at the time of booking, most reservations won’t charge the credit card you used as a placeholder unless you
do not show up for your reservation or fail to cancel or modify your reservation within the set policies. When you dine at a Walt Disney World Resort dining location, you’ll be presented with your bill and have the opportunity to pay with a different method of payment.
If you’d like to update the card you have saved to your My Disney Experience account, you can do so on in your profile on the Walt Disney World website or in your
My Disney Experience mobile app. Scroll down to find “Payment Method” and edit your payment information from there. Having a form of payment in your account can help speed up booking dining reservations, purchasing
Disney Genie+ Service, or using
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering.
I hope this was helpful, Ashley. Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is coming up soon, you’ll be relaxing in front of Cinderella Castle with a DOLE whip soon! If you have any more questions, come back to see us at planDisney!
