Hi I made all my dining reservations ahead of time.. and booked using my visa. Im now on the disney dinning plan and was wondering how i go about making sure they use my dining credits and instead of charging to the visa.. first trip unsure how it all work

    Hi Melanie,

Your credit card was simply used to confirm your reservations.  When you are seated at your restaurant, your server will ask if you are using the dining plan, and he/she will use your meal credits to pay for that meal.  If, for some reason, your server forgets to ask, let him/her know that you are on the dining plan.  I don't think I've ever had that happen, but cast members are human, so it's possible that they could forget.

If your plans change while you are in Walt Disney World, be sure to cancel any dining reservations that you are unable to attend; otherwise, your credit card will be charged.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical first vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
