I made dining reservations for 5 at 10:45 and was able to make dining reservations for 2 at 10:30. We have a big party but I thought you couldn't make reservations at the same time? I am listed on both reservations but wasn't made to cancel

    Hiya Amanda,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your question to us today. Questions about dining are my absolute favorite! My lifelong goal is to experience every table service location on property, so most of my planning revolves around food. If you ever need recommendations on where to dine, please come back and see me or any of my fellow panelists!

Currently, Walt Disney World dining locations require larger parties to split their reservations across multiple parties during either the same dining time (or within 15 minutes of each one). This likely explains why you could make two separate dining reservations so close together for the same location. If you and your group would like to request seating together when you arrive at the location for your 10:30 reservation, ask the Cast Member at the podium if your entire party can be seated together. If they can accommodate that request, they will (although there is no guarantee they will be able to do so).

I hope that I answered your question, Amanda and that you enjoy Be-ing “Our Guest” at Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
