Hey Conrad! It's good to see you here at planDisney!
Mapping out those
Advanced Dining Reservations can sometimes require Olympic-level focus. Just the other day I was booking meals for my party of 10 for our upcoming vacation and my brain felt like it had experienced back-to-back rides on
Slinky Dog Dash. Whether a late comer just joined your trip or you simply missed one in the mad dash to reserve your meal, here are some tips I've used to keep that extra Guest in the loop.
Before we do anything else, let's try to modify the reservation. Open your
My Disney Experience app. Tap the three-lined icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. In Future Plans, you should be able to see all of your reservations. Choose the one you want to change. You should see a blue pencil icon labeled Modify around the middle of your screen. Tap it and change your Party Size to the correct number. If nothing is available, try adjusting the time a bit. If something is available that works for your party, tap that new time slot, review your reservation, agree to the Guest Policies, and tap the green Book Now button. If the modifications don't suit y'all, tap the blue back arrow in the top right-hand corner to leave everything as it was when you started, and let's move on to plan b.
Pro-tip: Advanced Dining Reservations often become child's play when you're only booking for a party of one. If another party member has a
My Disney Experience account, have them open theirs and try to make a reservation at the same restaurant for a time slot as close to the same as yours as possible. If they can manage to get one, go to the restaurant early and ask the Cast Member at the podium if it's possible for you all to be seated together or at least near each other. There are no guarantees but it's been my experience that they will do their best to accommodate you. Pack your patience as you may have a bit of a wait while they try.
Conrad, I hope everything works out for your magical meal. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat! Happy planning!
