I made breakfast reservations at Kona Café at the Polynesian at 7:30am. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. The parks open at 9am that day. I just realized, am I not going to be able to use park transportation to get to breakfast???

Hi Jeannie and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

In all of our visits to the Walt Disney World Resort, we have never once experienced any problems at all in using Disney's Complimentary Transportation to get us to where we need to be on time.

Just a few months ago, whilst staying at Disney's Old Key West Resort, we had two 8:00 AM dining reservations at restaurants located inside the Magic Kingdom park. After checking with the Front Desk at our Resort hotel, we were assured that buses to the Magic Kingdom would start running at around 6:30 AM and I can tell you that we did not have any difficulty in making it to our dining reservations on time.

In your instance, to get to Kona Café, you will need to take a bus from your Resort hotel to the Magic Kingdom park and then from there, take a boat or the monorail over to Disney's Polynesian Resort.

It is definitely worth mentioning to the bus driver when you board the bus to the Magic Kingdom park where you are headed to as during past visits, if there were no other Guests on the bus, our bus drivers have been able to obtain permission to take us directly to Disney's Polynesian Resort (when we had 7:30 AM dining reservations at 'Ohana).

To put your mind at rest, I would recommend that you stop by the Front Desk at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside prior to the date of your 7:30 AM dining reservation at Kona Café to ensure that the buses will be running early enough. If for any reason they are not, your best bet would be to take a taxi.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
