Hi Derek! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
Since the phased reopening at the
Walt Disney World Resort, park reservations are required to enter any of the four theme parks along with the purchase of a park ticket. If you bought a single-day ticket for a select date and there are no
park reservations available for that day, you will have some options available to you.
Although
park tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, they will not lose their value. If you are unable to access the parks on that date, you can change your ticket for a future visit. You can do so by logging into your
My Disney Experience account. First, link your tickets to your account by selecting "Park Tickets" and then choosing "Link Tickets". Here you will enter your Ticket ID Code and your tickets will appear on your account. There will then be a "Change Ticket" option to select and you'll be able to change the date of your ticket. If the future date you select is a higher cost, you will need to pay the difference in the price. If you are having any issues with making the change online, you can always
call the Existing Ticket line and speak with a Cast Member for assistance. They will be able to handle all of your changes.
Derek, I did just check
theme park availability for April 5th, and
EPCOT is currently available on this date. If this is not the park you were hoping to visit, you do have another option if you still plan to go. You can upgrade your ticket to include the
Park Hopper Option. This will allow you to start your day at the first park you made a reservation for and then hop to any of the remaining three parks starting at 2 PM. If you had your heart set on visiting the Magic Kingdom Park, you may be able to fit in two parks on that one day.
If you decide to go to EPCOT, the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is underway. I've been lucky to spend some time at this festival over the years it is truly impressive. The topiaries are creative and beautiful! The outdoor kitchens have a little taste in every type of cuisine you can imagine. It's the perfect festival to just relax and take in all of your surroundings.
Once you get your tickets squared away, Derek, I hope you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
See ya real soon!
Greg
